Accessible and Barrier Free AVs and Infrastructure

Accessible and Barrier-Free Mobility has been unattainable for the vast majority of consumers, leaving people with disabilities limited options and excluded from a base human right. The narrative around accessible mobility is quickly evolving with the onset of autonomous vehicles. This panel discussion will focus on how to change the narrative from one of an implied obligation to what it really is: an enormous opportunity.

Tim Woods, general manager of the Autonomous Vehicle Alliance, will present an executive summary of the Accessible and Barrier-Free Research and discuss the SAE Accessible Roadmap in development. Key executive panelists from Ford, GM, and the US Access Board will also share their insights and answer questions.
